What is Cropping Audio ?

It is like a hair cut for audio... :) Really. Get rid of unneeded time at the beginning and ends of songs, etc....

If you look in the dictionary you'll see one of the definitions for crop is "to cut or bite off". That term is used more often in editing pictures and images. In that context it means to clip off the outer part of the image that you don't want. You'll see a "crop" feature in Adobe Photoshop and other image editors.

In the context of audio, I presume cropping means to clip off parts of audio segment that you don't want. For example, you might want to crop off silence at the beginning and end of a segment to reduce the file size.
