What is a Roland 1640???

In the description of this forum, it says:

"Discuss Roland VS840, VS880, 1640, 1680, Sound Canvas, or any other Roland/Boss equipment."

So I just wonder what a Roland 1640 is? Is it a VS1680 with four of the inputs plugged with cork?

The 1680 records up to 8 inputs simultaniously and has playback capability of 16, so the 1640 can only record 4 at a time and playback 16. It probably has 2 xlr (with phantom) and 2 1/4", but not sure.

As far as I know, there ain't no such aminal as the 1640.

It must be a 164-tracker that has no input - you have to buy a 2480 to transfer something by R-Bus...
