What happens when you email your friends your music?

If you write a song, and email a handful of your friends and ask for feedback, how many of them respond?

I've done this twice now and I'm thinking they are being polite and trying not to offend me with negative feedback. :o

I'm just wondering if anyone else has had similar results?

thanks

your friends prolly don't know shit about recording.

I'm sure thats true, but that doesn't mean I do either. :-)

I'm not really expecting a "rolling stones magazine" music review, but a sentence or two like "sounds good, or not really my type of music" , would be better than nothing.

Thats why I was wondering when you complete something, do you send it to a few of your friends? How do you know it doesn't suck?

thanks

Post it here in the MP3 Clinic and if it's garbage we will tell you. If it's good we will also tell you.

I have one friend who is pretty honest, which kinda sucks sometimes lol

most aren't interested, I was surprised at first but Id prolly be the same

If I could go back Id not have let them hear all my beginning tracks, not that Im embarrassed but they were of such low quality that I may have put some friends off listening to anything now...and I posted everything I did, some of it seriously sucks

the mp3 clinic is the best place for music critiques and building your skills online imo...I was recently banned from here, it was meant to be permanently, and it made me realize how good a resource it is...there isn't a forum on any other website that matches it, and I know I joined them all, I think the most in-depth critique I got whilst away was "Is it meant to sound like a broken helicopter?" lol
