I miss him too. I was hoping to get his take on the difference between SM57's and SM58's. It never was quite clear to me. :eek:

Well it's a little more tame over there, plus I'm sure he sick of all the same questions over here. I personally couldn't live without visiting this board daily.

Let's just say that someone who's been kicked off this board more than once finally managed to drive someone else away, I think.

But I also think it wasn't entirely that alone. I think that was just the straw that broke the camel's back; I think johnnyc may be right, and it was just that last showdown that put the nail in the coffin (to pile on the metaphors :rolleyes: ).

This is just my personal opinion; I have not spoken to Bruce since he left, so I really don't know.

But this is a difficult board for someone of Bruce's caliber to hang on to. This board has an extremely wide range of users with widely varying interests and experience levels, and it does get difficult at times to deal with the wide spectrum and low signal to noise ratio that naturally results. While I miss him here, I imagine the move was probably the best for him. He put in his time and effort above and beyond what most folks would and left this board better than when he came here. He earned the right to take the sabbatical.

Yeah, I tried to quit once, but I started getting the shakes. :( Maybe I'll try the gum or the patch next time. :D
