ermghoti said:In which case, both definitions apply.
Well, I shit in my pants, and play sloppy guitar.....metalhead28 said:Yeah, I can't play, plus I'm always shitting on the toilet seat.

ermghoti said:They play sloppily, with imprecision. Missing notes, or playing incompletely fretted notes, or letting open strings ring. Playing out of time. Basically, a bad technical player.
Anfontan said:I have great respect for him, but Neil Young is definitely a sloppy guitar player![]()
TelePaul said:Oh man, I dunno about that....dont you love the way he can play 2 notes and make it sound better than anybody else? Thats not sloppy, I think he puts alot of effort into his Coltrane inspired one-noters. Like Cinnamon Girl. He does go kinda crazy with a whammy bar, but his acoustic stuff is spot on, precision-wise.

TravisinFlorida said:neil young sounds kind of sloppy to me......but still good. maybe it's just that he does'nt have a tight sound.
Anfontan said:Im talking about some of the long jams, like "Cowgirl in the sand" or "Down by the River"on the Everyone knows this is Nowhere album. You will definitely hear some sloppy spots, sometimes its as if he's having a tough time with the guitar itself. The whammy bar stuff is also a device he had built that effects the signal as well as his Bigby vibrato. And the electric playing is all I was commenting on, I agree the acoustic playing is magnificent!
Neil was and still is a great infuence on my playing, but I stick with my opinion.![]()
TelePaul said:Speaking of effects he had built, his tech built him a small robot that physically turns his amp effects; how cool is that?
