What do you think of the guitar tone?

They're okay. I like the 2nd one better. The first one sounds kind of dumb with all that silly delay.

I don't particularly like that uber gain squeally noise on the trail off of your notes. on the distorted guit. Its sounds like its DI. Id consider turning some of the gain down maybe.

Its not terrible some people like it. Its just a thing with me.
 
Thanks for the feedback. I am definitely trying to get the best tone. I am not there yet, but closer than I was. I actually had the gain lower normally, and just turned it up today, lol. Still wasn't sure about it though.

It is DI.

Les Paul>Budda SD30II (Uncle Spot in loop)>Palmer/Microcab for one channel. Then another of the same, but through a M300. Both tracks are in stereo.

Tone sounds OK like this, but it's in the context of a song that you have to judge. You gotta hear it with other instruments in a mix. Something that sounds good on its own doesn't necessarily sound good with other stuff.
 
Good point. I will try to make some full mixes next week to post. I guess that would be a good lesson is to try and play more with a full mix.
