what do i need to record??

i have guitars and a bass.
i have a pc with windows xp.
im getting a line 6 pod x3.
i might get a tascam us-144.
i have cubase nuendo and ezdrummer.
do i need anything else?

i have no idea about how to get audio to my computer, ive read about just changing my sound card to have audio ins... do i need to do this or just use the tascam us-144 straight into the usb?
does the tascam act as a sound card then?

Hard to believe you forked out that much money for recording software before you even had just a basic idea what it takes to make recordings with it...
