I'm considering using this software but am worried about capatability issues with it. What audio interface would you recommend btw?
What audio interfaces are compatible with Cakewalk Sonar Home Studio XL?

I was using a Tascam FW-1804, and now I am using an RME Fireface 800. Both work well with Sonar HS.

I plan to use Home Studio XL with
the M-Audio Delta 1010. Others on this forum have suggested that the two would mate quite nicely. [I imagine that the less costly 1010LT would work also.]

Yeah, I've used an M-Audio Ozone (which is a small USB MIDI keyboard + audio interface) and the Lexicon Omega with Home Studio. You're unlikely to find an interface at a reputable music store (like zzounds.com, americanmusical.com, sweetwater.com) that WON'T work with Home Studio.
You might as well look around, find an interface you think you want, and then check here to make sure there aren't any known problems with it. In short, compatability issues are the exception, not the rule.
