That's my rate, the bands are going to suck anyway and I'm not going to make any money because they aren't going to pay me when the mixes are done. So, free beer greatly accelerates that process. The sessions usually end when the cops get called . . .

$25. But it's fairly restricted to gigs/people I comfortable with (I pretty much pass now on heavy music for example- too loud for home spun', plus I want to do stuff I'll enjoy being evolved with. Along that note however if the inspiration is there (often ) I do go above and beyond' on my dime.

The average price that people actually pay is $50/hr

It's getting harder and harder to get that $40 an hour rate for tracking let alone mixing and mastering with all of this Home Recording going on.
