Im working on a few albums for friends (folk, some metal, and some rnb type stuff) and also one for my band which is classic rock.

Just posted what I was working on. I am still looking for something to do without access to a guitar, studio or anything else. I guess I could remix some old tunes again, but how many times can you do that before you go nuts?

I guess I'll go out and find a good vocal coach...

Been working one new tunes with my band, got a new keyboardist\classical pianist.
wich should make it intresting as progress.

the plan is to get lock ourselves into a room for a week and see what we get recorded:D

we plan to do this in january, I`m allready planning the sandwich list of equipment.

sutch as a Premier kit from 1969, 75 Jazzbass, 70`s fender, Neuman U87:cool: (gotta nail those vox now:D) Several pre`s ranging from Universal audio to TL-audio.
Dyna audio Ba6 for monitors, the list goes on.
its nice having rich friends:D:D:D

the only thing we need now, is the members of Yes playing all the parts:D:D

Cool thread! :)

I just started working with a guy who has a whole catalog of great stuff in his head but nothing on tape or disc... His wife bought him studio time for his birthday and we're now coaxing a lot of awesome music out of him for his first CD...

I'm also doing some collab work for a guitar player up in the Puget Sound area of Washington... Great player whom I've worked with on and off through the years.

Just found out another jazzy christmas collab I did last year got picked up for a holiday release in Poland... That's kinda cool :)

The band is also working up some new stuff to start on the next CD, and I'm pulling a lot of my old personal stuff out of the drawer to listen to again with a fresh set of ears... Maybe I'll finally start finishing some of em

;)

WOW!

If you've only been picking on a mando for a year I'd say you're doing great things with it!

:)

Sounds like a terrific find, is it an 'A' or an 'F' style mando? The song reminds me of a foreign movie soundtrack-very nice melodies.

Work has kept me quite busy, though I have recorded a few colabs. I played some guitar and mandolin parts on Rokket's With you tonight song-the acoustic version. I'm also working on a blues song with Chili-jamming on my electric stuff, and looking forward to re-doing some older song from the 4 track cassette days, digging into the old archives-when I can find a few free hours away from the daily madness of my day job....

Hey Tony!

Post a short example of your progress with that project.

That's what the thread is about.

Thanks for the kudos...I am styling my mando playing after one of my favorite artists....DTB....

it's an A style...here's a pic of my $54 mando....
No day job for me man...I have been laid off since March....
I have kept busy with a classic rock cover band and an originals project....
www.analogtheband.com
I am playing bass for both....
I have collabed a lot in the past with Dispelled Myths, Jwoo, DRMSCP, DTB,Steev, Bluesmeister, several with David K and many, many more...but have nothing on my plate at the moment....

Hey Tony!

Post a short example of your progress with that project.

That's what the thread is about.

Okay, here is a short clip from the blues song-I added the guitar solos-this is an Epi Sheraton and Epi Les Paul Standard...the entire song is about 11 minutes long.

We recorded some old time-Civil War era songs-with my acoustic band 'Banjovi'-for a video to be released sometime in the future. Here are a few instrumentals, I played mandolin-banjo, fiddle, and guitar are also in the mix.
These are rough mixes-basically 1 take for each-we may retrack some later~

my daughter is into this movie and book series

http://www.twilightthemovie.com/

so we have been writing a few songs based around some of the characters and doing demos of them..this is her first shot at songwriting and its a good chance to get her started learning Reaper..she can open new projects and set up tract levels to record and stuff like that so shes off to a good start...

Awesome idea. Good way to get a kid into learning songwriting, etc. Instead of sitting them down and making them do something that feels like "homework".

Right now I'm working in a couple of originals that I had them laying around. I'm trying to maybe complete a CD out of them. Xeries and Greg L have been more than helpful in contributing a couple of tracks for them. I'm currently looking for someone who can help me with some piano and maybe a simple string arrangement parts. Anyone? :)
