im writing songs similar to the foo fighters song off of their debut album and colour and the shape. Not to say that its not origional but those are similar sounding songs to use as a template. I would like to know what i can do to make these recordings into preoffesional sounding songs and then an entire professional demo album. Thanks in advance for any help.

Oh...is that all...?...
...and here I thought you were going to ask a really hard question. :)

is there any other information you want me to include?

There are too many things to talk about here.
Maybe a more productive approach would be to post up an mp3 and take it from there?

Really....are you like looking for a step-by-step guide, or just a global idea of what it takes?

Play great.
Record great.
Mix great.

Not to mentoin....some decent equipment for all of that isn't going to hurt.

I think you need to tell us what is your current situaiton...what is your starting point?
I mean...if you've never recorded before....you have pretty long haul ahead of you.

I'm just posting so I can get subscribed to this thread. :D

:laughings:

yeah...there are no secrets.
It just takes time, practice, some decent gear, practice, more time and more practice.

It's a developing kinda thing.

Come on guys, don't be stingy. Just hand over the secret formula already.

Oh, come on guys, tell him!
