What are the best needles for scratchin???

Hey,
I know this will probably open up a serious debate between the real scratch djs on-line here, but I've got to ask. What type of needles do you use and how do you set them up. I've tried a bunch but have run into stumbles and skips on just about all. I was just curious to see if anyone could offer me any tips for scratchin and tell me what cartridges were prefered?

I use the Ortofons that mount on the Technics headshell.

They shouldn't skip, but if they do then takeoff the weights on the end of your arms and put them on backwards.

But before you try that solution you should try mounting a weight between the cartridge and the headshell.

And you should try to mount the cartridges on a slight angle (outward).

Also other cartridges scratch DJ's use are:

Shure M-447's

SHURE SE35's

The best needles for scratching(in my opinion) are ortofon djs`s
 
I was going to suggest the Ortofon "dj" needles, but...

For some reason they tend to push in 1 - 2 of the 4 contacts on the inside of your turntable arm. I'm sure that most people do not want to replace the whole arm of their turntables every 2 or 3 months :) (at the cost of $125.00 to $200.00 per table :( ).

M447s???

Well I have a set of those. They are ok as far as audio fidelity is concern, I use them for my house sets and for sampling. But how do you set them up for battle, so they track efficiently well enough to juggle and flutter scratch????
 
I am a mix/turntablist and I would suggest the shure m-447... It is the best.. get no other
