I hope u all understand me couse i dont speak too much english.
This is my problem... im not satisfied with my recordings, it sounds really bad..
i was using a samson c01 and unsatisfied with the quality bougth a matcher pair behringer c4, and they sound even worst, like they are underwater !

this is the stuff that i use: allready name the mics; i plug those to an american pro blue mixer, and the mixer to an emu0202 usb

i want to know what am i doing wrong, chosing mics? that mixer is useless to record?

i also tried using the onboard sound hardware, and the result is the same (but a lot a latency :P)

so, mixer or mics?

thanks !

Could be mixer, mics, room, guitar, playing and a few other variables as well. Most likely it's a combination.

Are you able to post a clip (yes, I know there's a 5 post limit, but you can just reply a few times to get there...) so we can hear the problem?

Hard to diagnose without hearing....

im from argentina :D

i will try to record something tomorrow so u can hear, but the sound its exactly as describd... underwater (with the behringer c4) ;and with the samson its seems that im recording with a cellphone, an oldone !

Can you post an mp3 of your guitar sound? That would help us understand what you are dealing with and give us a better idea on how to help you.

What kind of guitar are you using, what kind of room are you recording in, and how are you micing the guitar (how is the mic(s) positioned)?

I'd probably skip the mixer unless there is some reason you really want to use it.

For classical guitar, I mic it the same as regular acoustic...usually one mic 8 inches away from the 12th fret, angled toward the sound hole.

i use the mixer just to plug the mics, couse my emu0202 doesnt have phaton power, i have to go to work... when i come back ill post some track so u can hear and pics of how i mic the guitar, thank you all !

Just so you know, you need to have 5 total posts in order to be able to post a link here. :D

Your first take sounds alright (jsut needs 'livening' with some reverb, maybe), the second one sounds like bad mic placement or bad EQ - what did you change?
