I was at my local Guitar Center yesterday purchasing some Hosa, I mean monster cable (lol).....I noticed that they had several Mics on sale for a pretty good price. Anyway, I ended up leaving with a CAD M37 and a Behringer ECM800 (its a measurement mic, an earthworks copy). The CAD was $99.00 (Marked down from $249.00) and the Behringer was $39.95!!!!!! For a hundred and fifty bucks I'm feelin' pretty good right now.
The CAD came with a very nice carrying case and a chart from the manufacturer showing the mics response. Nice touch. I tried the CAD on vocals and acoustic guitar last nigh and it sounded pretty damn good, considering I was running the mic through a Mackie VLZ1604 pro mixer with the famous XDR pre's......I can't wait until my new John Hardy Mic Pre arrives to test the mic......
