it was really fun to track this tune...
i've got like 40 tracks...
and just went everywhere with it..
i've got 6 and 7 tracks of nothing but feedback going in certain places....
amp was just vibrating, and singing, and doing it's own thing.
all i had to do, was be there, and capture it.
the screams with the guitars, the slashing of the werewolf, all visuals i tried to realize directly thru the guitar.
when you have a story that is so strong, the visuals are in the brain so accutely, it's really easy to tap into that as a source of
inspiration, and if you know your rig as well as i know my rig, it's dirt easy to get it to talk..
to annunciate..
to animate the ideas flowing thru the synapses, directly into the strings from
the fingers....
even the acoustic treatments, were meant to feel a bit menacing....
a decision to drag a pick across the strings from the top to the bottom, versus the other way...
every stroke of it was conceived in advance, trying to evoke a feeling that would transcribe into a wonderfully wicked feeling vibe.
i mean, it's a phukin' werewolf song.
