I did my end of the world order, and then found out about the other tape company, I'm not so worried. At least I scored a bunch of 457 at $7.25 a roll.

Never mind... a day after I post this link they nearly double their prices.

Stick them in the ear with a hot poker. (Excuse my English but a guy can only take so much... oil prices, Beanie Babies, tape prices, people shooting at you that you can't shoot back at... they're like the gosh darn VC in Nam). Ok I feel better now... pardon my rant.

.....and what's with people going anal over the Quantegy tapes?! Jeez ... RMGI can be found for much less, it's still being made and it's a better tape and company! Guys, 'cmon, there's nothing magical about the name "Ampex" or "Quantegy". Just pick up some RMGI already!!
