There are some things I don't like with it but in generally after I got used to it I LOVE IT.
I don't think I'm getting better sound with new version. It's only how I feel when I work with it. I love it, it's still simple software but advanced and powerful in the same time. Powerful new tool is Automation.
You can automat everything, even FX-es but if you haven't tried for a while you can't imagine how powerful tool it is.
Two monitors are absolutely recommended for this version.
It is not insecurity but once I have tried, I never go back.
Still I have old version installed on my PC. It is just shame to uninstall it.
Why should I? Let it stay.
I started to use midi lately and I do recording and editing in Cubase. When those are finished I covert them to wavs and import them to AA where all my other files are. I could do everything in Cubase but I can't turn my back to AA.
There are too many emotions.

The reason I use 1.2 for recording is because the lag/latency is minimal compared to both CEP 2.1 and AA 1.5. If I was sure that 2.0's ASIO support would eliminate that lag, I'd ante up for it in a heartbeat.

Lately I started to record midi and I have experienced some latency problems in the beginning but after I found out how to do it properly the problem was gone.
Back to audio:
If latency is not too big then we can not hear it and we do our recordings as there is not any latency. After we have finished recording the software makes sure that everything is in perfect time position by moving recorded data in time for latency time-amount.
Am I right?
Can you give us some latency amounts for all three of your software?
I don’t think 30 days of trial AA 2,0 is enough time to make the right decision. I think just a few of us are in audio production 100%.
Others are working, going to school, having families etc.
For someone who will try software every single day for 4 weeks it’s more than enough, but for the rest that time is just enough to find out that they have changed some nice features or buttons, or you name it and there will be only reasons to go back to old versions.
It took me more then couple of months to find out about advantages of AA 2, 0.
