This is almost done - need to get some live drums which we will be adding soon. We picked up some new software from Cakewalk this week and are trying it out. Let me know what youu think of the song and mix so far. Thanks!

We Can Do Anything

Nice tune, Gerry!
Guitars and bass sound just fine, can't wait to hear it with real drums though.
Your voice sounds as though you were standing a bit far away from the mic, almost as if you're in a different room from the other elements. Mike's backings sound closer.
Good stuff though! :)

Hi Ido, I think this is a really strong tune from you. I agree with joey that the guitars and bass all sound good and also that the lead and backing vocals sound in a completely different space from each other. The BVs are louder than the lead - some tweaks to them and real drums and I think you're done! It has a nice mood to it.

I really like the bass and guitars on this, grooving together nicely, yeah, the backing vocals are a bit out of proportion with the lead vox.....what are you using for drums on this now? Real cool vibe to this, nice pickin' Ienjoyed it!

Yup, I agree with the comments about the vocals. The lead vocal is very dry and simple, then the backings come in and it's kind of scary. Lol. I think the main vocals should come up some, and they need some space. A little delay, or tiny amount of reverb. They're too dry and stark sounding. The backing vox can drop back. I like the tone of the bass, but it being panned that far to the right is kind of weird for me. Guitars sound good.

Thanks for the listens and feedback guys. We mixed on monitors and thought it sounded okay. I was listening on headphones just now and I can hear what you pointed out. I'll talk to Mike and work on the changes you suggest.

Yep, vocals need tweaking.
You've moved to a much cleaner guitar sound Gerry.
There's a very 60's vibe to this - guitar tone & arrangement.
Almost there.
Well done so far.

I agree on the vocal comments. The lead is kind of dry, thin, and "plain." BGVs kind of jump out. Both the lead and backing vocals don't seem to be sitting well with the backing tracks. I'd put in some (more) layers of the backing vocals.

There might be a little low end rumble in the bass. I'm not positive myself - but you might want to listen and check it out.

everyones already hit it....good tune Gerry, and your vocals sound good regardless...had a very laid back groove and a little different from your usual stuff

Thanks Ray, Triplem, Keith, Mike's working on remixing this including drums now so we'll post it when done.
