Hi All: We are only living to die, so why waste it on compromise. I just never will get this way most musicians, and artists in general do life. So many have told me over the years "if I had my way I would be playing such and such but I can't do that and pay my bills............. " We can't get back time. What good is a compromised life when death comes a knocking? Play what turns you on, live to your joys and dreams, and ignore the big bad ghost of society screaming you are wrong to do such things. Burry me anyway you want, but while I am alive I am doing my thing! That hit me tonight and got me right to recording these songs. They are raw and heartfelt. Walter

Walter you are an inspiration to us all.

I am really enjoying TED.com at the moment and I thought that this particular talk on 'play' would interest you as it resonates with much of your approach to life and composition.

thanks for that link! I have been playing life like a little kid for over 50 years. I have never gone hungry, or lacked a warm bed. Most who are close to me view my life as a constant trainwreck. I have learned to understand that their fears about life are voiced through the way I live my life. As the years have gone by, I have learned to take their fears as a loving gesture towards me. I am going to call one of them right now. Walter

I read you learned and decided how to play all those instruments as one man a while back. But, what a wonderfully live recording sound.
Freight train is cool, but you know just from that first intro page what I like? I like, 'It Goes So Quick.'

It's after one am where I am. All I'm gonna do is listen to these sounds for a while. Kids're asleep. Wife ain't nagging. Got Walter playing. We're sweet for'n a while. Just cruising is best for learning.

I am glad you are enjoying the tunes. I am alwaays curious to what songs people prefer becuase it is often not the ones I pick. That is a great reminded to just let it flow. I actually have been playing the guitar and harp for about 35 years. the drums on feet came from playing with Wilbert Harrison when he was doing a 1 man band. I learned that back in the 70's but soon left it for a real band format. Then about 3-4 years ago I started with the drums again. the keys have been going on about 2 years. Thanks for the compliment on the live sound of the songs. That is my goal- to have them sound like they do when I play live. Walter
