I know how to open several wave files in different montage tracks, adjust pan and volume etc. for each track. I don't know how to burn the tracks on CD. Could you please help. Thanks in advance.

You need to insert track flags at the beginning and end of each clip. Make sure to have 2 seconds of blank space before track 1.

There's also a little tool (the icon looks like a pair of glasses) that will verify that your CD layout is red-book compliant.

Once you have all your tracks laid out properly, go to the tab in Audio Montage labeled CD. There you will find a tool that looks like a magic wand. Click that and you will get a dialogue page for your settings, for simply burning a CD for my own use, I accept the default settings, but of course you can change whatever you'd like.
After you've done that, click on the eyeglasses tool to confirm that the CD is ready to burn.
Finally, click on the CD tool (to the left of the eyeglasses) to start the burning process.

One of my mistakes was looking for "burn CD" button inside the magic wand window. I got mad when I saw only "apply"
Several pages later, there's Chapter 16 "Burning an audio CD" but the Audio Montage section just ended before that. ha ha ha...I work alone so it's quite frustrating. That's when I turn to good old "Homerecording.com" only to hear "read the manual
..." ha ha ha. Just kidding...Well, now that I know how to finish a project in audio montage, my projects will never be the same again.
(I have already test burned a CD in montage, thank you very much!)In the montage, one thing I did was opening individual tracks and placing them as shown below:
Track 1 ========
Track 2 ++++++++============
Track 3 ++++++++++++++++++++============
where "+" denotes space
I hope I'm doing it right. I don't see this instruction in the manual.

In people's defense, "read the manual" is sometimes code for "do you really have a legit copy of the program?" No one wants to help a pirate.
I love the ones who write, I own Sonar, Cubase, Nuendo, Logic, Waves Platinum bundle, Wavelab, and Sound Forge. Can someone tell me how to use them to create kickass music.
As regards your track layout question, I'm not sure I understand exactly what you are asking. My tracks are laid out end-to-end, like:
Track1111111111111111Track2222222222222222Track33333333333, etc.
When you run the Magic Wand tool, it places the spaces inbetween the tracks (as well as the starting space, etc), so you end up with:
Track1111111111111111 Track2222222222222 Track333333333333, etc.

As for the track layout, I think it works both ways. The way I do right now is
Track11111111
Track22222222
Track33333333
Then I apply effects as needed on each track (soloing the current one). That way I can easily compare the loudness (or what have you) of individual tracks. Then when I'm ready to burn, I move the tracks as shown in my previous post or I could place them in one track like yours.
