Master of the Obvious
After having VST for a couple years, I've finally started wanting to get into Wavelab. I've got the basics down and have used it for some Mastering in the past and the frequency analyzer...
But now I'm trying to use it as the Wave editor in VST5.

When I click on a wav. and it opens the audio editor, then click on that wav. file and I have it so Wavelab opens... but it doesn't open the wav. I'm trying to edit... I have to go up to the file menu and click open and then go find the wav.
If possible, I'd like it to open the wav. that I clicked on right where I'm at in the song. Seems easy enough. Right now it just opens the program but not the wav. file I want to edit

I want to start using the Non-destructive editing... save the original file and then apply effects and such to the new file.

Thanks,
B.

I thought this would be a simple question... Hmmmm???
Well on page 420 in VST 5 it says...

"If you are using WaveLab Lite or WaveLab, and you have activated the option “Segment Range Selection” in the Audio Preferences dialog, the segment range in the audio
file will be selected when you open it in the editor. Furthermore, if you are using WaveLab (the full-featured version), Markers will be inserted in the audio file, at the start and end inset positions."

I have that checked... what am I missing?

Thanks for any help,
B
