is it possible to burn a cd on my computer w/out buying any other cd-burning equipment? i know that a friend of mine's computer burns cd's -- he even showed me how to do it. i consider myself to be a pretty computer literate person, but i've been sitting at this computer for the past 3 days trying to figure out how to do it! HELP!!!

do you have a burner? You cant make a cd without one.

i don't have a cd burner....but my friend just uses his cd-drive. can some regular cd drives burn cd's too?

A CDR or CDRW drive looks just like a CD-ROM drive, so that might be the source of your confusion. A reader can't burn CDRs or CDRWs.

If your computer had a cd burner you would have known it when you bought it. Youre only two options are either installing one into your computer-costs about 200 i believe , or buying a cd recorder and putting the wav. files/mp3s onto a cd with that. I bought a Philips dual cd recorder for about 400 in best buy and i can also record one cd onto another which is cool :)
