Kinda rare to find used Cubase, as each upgrade includes the license to previous versions. In other words, I cant sell you my Cubase 5, because my C7 license is tied to it. You may be best off purchasing a educational version. Know anyone in school?
i have a cubase sx 3. that was ment to be tied to a cubase sx 2 but i can install and run cubase sx 3 without the sx 2 having being installed first. would you be up for giving it a go?
You cant activate a full version of Cubase 4/5/6/7 without buying the dongle/license. I could give you the install disc, but it would do you no good, unless you pay for the license.
Yeah I get you. I have a dongle came with sx 3. Would you be up for selling me the cubase 5 licence. If it works and your c7 still works ok and the c5 works fine then we are all happy and if c5 doesn't work or your c7 stops working then we trade back?
Sorry man, it just doesn't work that way with Steinberg. I upgraded from 5 to 6 to 7. The upgrade price is cheaper than just buying the license for each. My C5 license is tied to my C7 one. The only way I could sell you my license, would be to lose mine.
Yes IMO. There are some issues, but they should be resolved with the update next month. Have you looked into the student version? It is fully functional, you just would not get the discount for an upgrade.
What's diff in the student version the reason to why I want the full is because my projects are getting larger than the 64 or 68 audio track limit to the studio bersion
If you purchased C7 full retail version, the upgrade to C8 would likely be $150. If you purchase the student version of C7, it would be full price for upgrading to the next version of Cubase.
