Just did a full review of a postcard/email promotion by Ann O'Brien which promoted her new CD. Check it out for some good ideas you can use for your own promotion.

This is a PDF with pictures of the card she sent, the email, etc. Can't post an attachment here, so email dave18-56550@autocontactor.com to get it.

I too have a marvelous plan for success.

I can't post it online because it would cause an overload on bandwidth with everyone viewing it. I'll send it to you free, you just pay shipping and handling (2.99). All you need do is email your name, address, checking account, account routing, and social security numbers.

Hey hooper. I sent you my bank account number and password. I hope you got it. So when do you think you can make me a star?

You guys are hilarious. I give away a free report and you still have to be jerks about it.

Read www.indiebiz.com or any or my other sites and see if it says anything about making you "a star."

This is about making more money for you so that you can make a living in music, not stroking your ego.

Another comedian. Perhaps you should quit music and try the comedy circuit.

Email dave18-56550@autocontactor.com to get hooked up. No credit card needed.

David,

I remember the days when The General posted to your old forum. He talked about the BJBs and the Idiot Element then.

Have you seen anything change with them in all these years? Or would you concur with the fact that a Beer Joint Baritone is a Beer Joint Baritone and the Idiot Element is the Idiot Element!

The latest addition are the Amaretto Sour Soprano's.

I don't know much about Bobby or VMG. A Beer Joint Baritone is a Beer Joint Baritone and the Idiot Element is the Idiot Element though. :)

I've never met David or worked with his company, but I have nothing but respect for this man. Dedicating your life to something so passionate as independent music isn't easy. Think twice before flaming someone who's worked so hard for something we all believe in, even if maybe he doesn't do exactly how you would if you gave yourself the same goals.

You give away a free report to get email addresses.

I don't think there's anything wrong with that. Collecting the email addresses of the people who are interested in your service is a great way to run an online business, as long as those people have an opt-out option if they start receiving a newsletter they don't have any interest in reading.

Yeah, but collecting addresses from advertisement on a public forum (disguised as "help" or "advice") is spam.

Hi David.....................

Been to the NAMM shows?
did ya go to the road rally?

how's trix?

Joe

I don't think it was disguised at all. It's pretty obvious that by sending an email to that address, you'll get the info you need, and maybe some sort of intro email from David's company. I sent an email and didn't receive either, to be honest.

How is anything disguised?

I'm giving info in exchange for an email. Don't want the info? Don't give me your email. Pretty simple.

You guys have such a victim mentality...

The only thing this email has is a link to the document.

dave18-56550@autocontactor.com is an autoresponder, so you should get something back immediately. If not, check your spam filtering because you're missing messages. :)

It still comes off sounding like you're dealing from the bottom of the deck.
