GT-OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

carry me back to the day. boogie time. great little track. the tone on the lead could be a little fatter to me. but that's me.

Thanks dtb,

Yeah, I had so much fun recording this one, just had to share.

Also really sounds like Friday kind of music to me.

Garage music, this is why a man's garage is his castle!!

that's why jam sessions are fun! I like it, man! but why did the drummer play in another room? - just kidding - bring those drums up!

cheers

the tone sounds right. just sounds a little thin to me. not sure how to describe that accurately. but tone is really a matter of taste i think so don't listen to me if you like it i'm just looking for a little more of something i can't describe.

Cool, good job!

I think the lead sound is there, just needs to come out a bit fatter.

hehehe. That was cool, more authentic and better played than, authentic. You could have been the KING in 1965! :D

fatten that baby up and it`ll be reddy.

groovejunkie,

I've gotton so lazy with my drum machine, just used a preset, and kept it low, so it wouldn't stand out.

This was definately a 1.5 recording.

I did however have to practice the main rif quite a bit. It was a little harder to keep smooth, than I first imagined.

I also had to play it close to the bridge, to get that biting treble sound. I'm much more used to playing up by the neck pickup.

What guitar did George Harrison use on this?

Thanks for the listen

erichenryus,

Yeah, that seems to be the majority rule on the tone. I have never really been that picky on tone, it may be time to start.

Another toy to add to the list, a Boss 7 band stomp box eq, yes, no? Anyone have one of these?

sjcrts,

Thanks for taking the time to listen, and critque. I appreciate it much!!

Toki,

Thanks, this kind of structured rif has allways been tough for me.

It's not that it's a hard rif, but the repetivity of it, seems to make it waiting for a mistake to happen.

Any of you know what I mean, or is it just me?

yeah man.....

sounds sorta like this old English Pop band I remember....

hmmmmm.......the Ruttles!...yeah that's it! :D

Seriously man....
I like your rendition....

the lead guit could be a little warmer....fuller.....

needs drums too :D

Good jam man,
Good recording,
Take it easy man,
Joe

B.SABBATH,

Thanks for the listen, I owe you one.

Yeah I got the bass balance that I was looking for on this one. More like a comercial CD.

My new computer has a cd burner, so I can now listen to my mixes on a lot of different systems.

I can now compare my mixes to comercial cds more easily.

Crazy as it sounds, I listen a lot in my truck, and i'm very familiar with the sound of comercial cds on my trucks stereo.

It was there, I decided that my last recording was a little bass heavy.

So on this recording, I eq'ed -4db at 250 cycles, and that did the trick, no more bass heaviness in my truck, I'm thrilled!!

I'll shut up now.

joro,

Yeah, there I go, ripping off the Beatles again.

Glad you liked it.

Cool Trip GT. Bring the drums up for sure.

You got the lead style for this nailed!

Killer day-jam. Sounds like fun.

The guitars are totally fighting for the mix....i doubt it matters very much though.

Thanks for the entertainment!

Guitar tone sounds real thin to me. Fatten it up a bit and it will improve the sound IMHO.

Peace
Bill

Emeric,

How ya been, how's everything at the other end of the world?

Glad you liked it, 1.5 music, sometimes works!

jake,

Thanks for the listen, I think George used a Rickenbacker for the main riff, I used a Alvarez strat copy.

Well you get what you deserve.

wfaraoni,

Point well taken.

It sounds to me like I ended up with a kind of Messa Boogie tone, instead of Marshall, no?
