last bump for this one..
before it toss it for a new version.....

The BM touches are nice & really stand out because of my late 70's preconception of what May played.
Some excellent guitar sounds and the bass has bottom end + definition so I'm a happy chappy.
Nice lead too - more feel less shed always wins me over.
I understand the sizzle versus drizzle quandry with the cymbals - always a thin brass line isn't it?
Wha Wha Wha - I love it when a guitar cries.

thanks for listening!

BM is never a touchstone for me, per se...
but was undoubtably an influence.

and i guess, anybody who was ever a fan, especially of the earlier Q stuff, can hear the influence, EVEN tho, harmonies have always been around, and will always be fundamental ways of extending the idea of harmonics...

i guess, the sound of the guitar, with certain primary harmonies, is the key to triggering that particular memory...

for example, i'd say the early hendrix stuff, and to some degree, the jeff beck stuff, was my 'historical' WAH influence, but nobody ever says i sound like JH!
LOL
so, i don't know about appreciation of artists from earlier days and how it actually influences my writing (or anyone's writing), but folks just like to use handles to help define what they like/don't like....
but i love wah guitar, and love harmonies, so i guess i'll always have to deal with comparisons to some degree, and that's fine.....
i appreciate you listening, and commenting..
