vsti player and full soundfonts

A recurrent topic over the years. I used to use Plugsound Box as a general purpose vsti (and vsti player at the same time). But ... it is discontinued for Windows 8

So I started to check the market (only freeware). I got Evansessence a 2GB soundfont, not as good and rich as Plugsound box, but I couldn't find anything else
Regarding the vsti player, I am still searching, I need a multiouput player

Any hints on this (and the soundfont too), please?

I mix standard music, pop, rock, melodic, ballroom,...

Not sure exactly what that is, but you might be interested by Sampletank Free and Kontakt Player.
 
thanks I will listen to the Sampletank sounds (the free set, which is limited in scope, the basic set costs 60€ and the player looks powerful, although the UI has large oppotrunities for improvement

I wonder if there are other, freeware options, in both sides (player, sounds)
