VS1680 Guitar Hi Z question

I am a newbie!

What is the difference between using the Guitar Hi Z input (#8) an using any input for guitar/bass?

Also can the data from the VS1680 be imported into my Mac for processing? I am wondering because I get the impression that my Que Drive! USB burner won't work on the VS 1680.

I connect my Mac through a SCSI (in the Roland) through a Zip drive (100) and then out SCSI through a Microtech USB SCSI DB25 addater into my iMac.

Appreciate any help!!!

You will get a pretty low signal using the other inputs.

Not sure about the Mac questions.
