VS-880EX w/Zip drive Question

I'm trying to export some songs from an 880EX to use on a VS-1680. However, when I try to format some new 250 MB disks that I bought, the unit will start to format them, but then will say that the disk is full.
Any Ideas?
The same happens if I try to export.

Might be a problem of the OS version: the older OSs might not properly recognize it, while the newer might no longer support it. probabla something like 2.012 shoud work...
