I have had my vs-880ex for a little over a year now, and have recorded a decent amount of music on it. First thing I noticed was the quality of the audio, it was pretty fuzzy and distorted. I obviously knew it wasn't the recorder becuase my means of getting the audio to the computer and the mic I used ( a crappy radio shack mic lol.. ). I have recently ordered for a new better recording mic ( Sennheiser E609 Silver Dynamic Guitar Mic ) this is link: Mic
I also would send my audio through my line in port on my sound card ( which is a pretty crappy standard sound card).
But to the point, I decided "hey how bout a zip disk so i wouldn't lose quality" so i borrowed my friends zip disk drive. I went to hook it up and as soon as the connector touched the port on the recorder it just shorted out. I pulled away from the recorder and it restarted ( the same as if you turned it on ). I tired this several times with the same result. The zip disk drive was not the rolan one, I can't recall the brand of ZDD I used. If it ends up to where I will not be able to use the zip disk, is there any other way I can get the music to my computer with out loseing quality and not haveing to spend a massive amount of money?
Thanks
p.s. i use cakewalk (sonor) to put together my tracks.
