I own a 2480 and everything is just great.....except that the faders have started giving me trouble. The faders, are moving randomly and is giving me a hell of a frustuation, when doing final mix. I do not know who can give me more details on this problem.

...bummer...let us know how you resolve this please...:(

they are motorized faders so they move according to where you place them during a mix

Faders jump irrespective of their positions.

I have a VS 2480.I understand that faders move to the assigned position during mix. But here the faders jump up and down randomly if given a slight touch. In channel link mode one fader takes a new position compared to the other.
Sanjeev.

It sounds like you might have old or unwanted automix data in the places where the faders are jumping.

Not sure if you have a problem or perhaps you can check this out on your 2480. If you ever moved your faders when in the automix record mode, you can expect the faders to move to those positions when you play back the tracks. If you go into automix "EDIT" you can see the activity assigned to each track for faders as well as many other parameters. If there is nothing in automix edit, then you may have a problem with the unit.
