Vs 2480, Dps 24, Aw4416

I am considering buying one of the following workstations: Roland VS 2480, Akai dps 24 or the Yamaha AW4416.

I need advise which one to go for. All recommendations are welcome.

More tracks on the roland and the akai, Im going for 2 d1600 korgs for 32 tracks thay can be synced and 2 are less than 1 of these choices here. Anyway Korg just sounds better.
 
I have had my 2480 for about two and a half months now, and it is absolutely fantastic... I used a Roland 880ex for two years, so there was no learning curve for the 2480. It definitely blows away the Yamaha. I did not check out the akai 24 track, but I did check out the 16 track and there was definitely no comparison...

I would not believe that the Roland blows away the Yamaha by any means, unless heard with my own ears.

Yamaha has a brand new model out, the AW 2816 which I just ordered. It has, like the 4416, its own CDRW burner -- With Roland, you have to buy THEIR BURNER, last time I heard.

If you check out the other posts, you will find many more artists are picking the Yamaha over the Roland. The Yam MD8, which I use now until my new box comes in, is a pretty darn good box but it does not have 24 bit sound as does either Yamaha and probably the Roland too.

So, check out some other, many other, views and then go for it.

You dont put a burner on a serious unit anyhow. You have to go through a rack of mastering gear first.
