volume issues?

when I recorded some piano today (using a midi keyboard) I found it very hard, basically impossible, to have each chord and note be recorded at the same volume. It sounds pretty crappy with one chord being at one level and the next chord being noticeably louder or softer. I'm using Cubase LE 4. My question is, what can I do to make all the chords/notes the same volume level?

your midi controller is probably velocity sensitive which means your hitting each of the notes at different speeds, causing them to be different volumes, you could go back in the piano roll and edit them to all be the same pitch, or you could just program them in the piano roll from the beginning
 
I use SX3, so yours may be a bit different, but...

double click on the chunk of MIDI you want to change, which should open the MIDI editor, then go into the edit menu, then there should be a 'velocity' option to change velocities. You should then be able to limit or compress. Not in front my my home computer right now.
 
It recorded at different volumes because you played it that way ;)

You can either practice more to make your playing more even. There may also be a way to adjust the velocity curve on your MIDI keyboard to change it's sensitivity.

The other option is to do the compress/expand thing as mentioned by Agent47.
