Here's your big chance to be a star! Anybody who wants to take a crack at some cover artwork for Volume II, please post your ideas here. You can design whatever the hell you want, but it should have something to do with home recording or the bbs or the connections you've made with people here. The cover will be chosen by popularity.

You can create whatever you'd like, but as a personal favor to me...I'd like to not do a black or solid color CD this time...it was just such a pain in the butt to print. Something that is on or could be placed on a white background would be excellent and reduce printing cost/time quite a bit.

YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE A MUSIC CONTRIBUTOR TO SUBMIT ARTWORK! Have at it!

While you should post a low resolution jpeg image here (72dpi), you should create your masterpiece at a mimimum of 300dpi in either tiff or bmp format. The actual print size of your image needs to be 4.75" x 4.75" or less.

I'm gonna fire up my graphics program and see what I can some up with...Can I get more info on how the cover should/want to look.....Can I see the last one

Alright, here's a shot for the cover art thing. I'd go crazier, but I really wanted to get that "home recording" feel.

I was going to reply to this way back when but I forgot...

Yeah I agree that it's too simple, but I do like the concept very much...especially considering that I record vocals in my bathroom!

Maybe it could be expanded upon?

Dudes, before you count out tdawg's "simple" cover, throw the "HomeRecording.comp" logo across the top. I happen to think that as Vol. II - it works. It way works. Remember how busy the cover for Vol. I was? That was excellent, but for Vol. II, I think simple is perfect and a great follow-up.

The only thing I would change/add compositionally would be a microphone on the stand or hanging off the stand.

Just my opinion - and I don't even record in a bathroom!

I usually go with the cutting edge designs.But here's what I came up with it.I got a feeling it might still be too much....I can redo it B/W if need be...........................1

Also you're banned now. While I'm pretty irritated at the people who made it so, I do have to respect Dragon as this is his BBS. Sorry man.

Update, I have no idea about the actual incident that resulted in the banning of DJ'FINGAZ because I was not involved with that thread.

I am disappointed at the way he was treated during his time at the BBS. But, if he took it over the top then that's that.

I kinda like the bathroom cover too.. maybe throw a few more pieces of equipment around, and the official logo, and that would be pretty cool..

then again, I'm a plumber..
 
maybe someone doing a technicolor yawn into the porcelon palace, with a BIG butt crack would be more up your alley...eh?:eek:

not that that would reflect on the music either!!:D

I actually like the bat'room pic... being in use somehow might add some interest.
 
And if the CD stinks, that'll be perfect.

Gotta admit i really like the bathroom shot. Maybe a couple of more pieces of gear on the bathtub, and a visible mic. The shot made me laugh...

You know, something didn't occur to me until now - the bathroom shot is almost a sequel to the inside of the insert for Vol. I (with Clayton perched upon the throne).

Nope. I gave a bunch of people a second chance to send payment and nothing.

I should really be more on the ball, but fuck things have sucked around here for months now...problem after problem after problem.

I've got about 15-20 of volume one to get rid of. I'll put em up as soon as I can determine which are actually available (shouldn't take long).

Maybe I can add some things to this graphic in photoshop....superimpose S8-N or something :)
