What is the proper way to adjust volume on individual tracks in Wavelab? Some of the tracks need a little less volume. (I have a hard time understanding how to use audio montage, so I'm not using it right now...) Thanks in advance.

I generally do them one track at a time. Then I go to file open and make sure autoplay is turned on ,, then I click on each track and listen for the volumes. If I need to adjust one I just pull it up and increase or decrease the gain a little. Thats only if they are just a little off. If they are very different I usually reprocess.

Im sure you can do the same thing using the Montage though.

Thanks, Malcolm,
Yes, I'm working on one track at the time too, that's the only way I know how, for now anyway. But when you increase or decrease the gain, even for a little bit, don't you have to 'render' it?

Audio Montage is for working with individual tracks, so why not use it? Its very easy to learn.....as long as you have the manual.

No, I dont use the mastering console for this. I use the process>change gain option. It probably does the same thing though as long as you do not have any plugins in the processing chain.
