I need to record phone calls that we get on technical problems. They give us detailed information for diagnosis & it is difficult to write it all down. We have been using a Radio Shack recorder & it works fairly well but in the office area with lots of floresenct ligths we get lots of interference, is there a recored that will filter out the interference

Do a search on Yahoo or something similar about phone recording devices and you will find some interesting stuff. Check out radio station supply sites as well, they record calls at very high quality and usually degrade them to make them sound like they are from a phone call.

Or, if you have a phone with a headset jack... make your own in/out adapter and plug it in from there. basically splice the jack and run it to your recorder as well as your headset, a few friends of mine did that and had fine results..

I don't know what you mean by "radio shack recorder" but I bought a little suction cup mic from radio shack for about $4 for just that porpuse. It works pretty well.

why not just take a line and use some converters to get it into a tape recorder..
