Ok so some may find that i'm looking a lot into the radio stuff haha.

Now, i'm at the stage where I want to make my own voiceovers through software - so if your confused by what I mean..think your major commercial radio station. The pre-recorded voice overs that are put between songs for Station ID and so forth.

Anyone know a program that will allow me to do this?

Do they have the ability to transfer text to voice? Or is that how they do it at least? Or is it spoken and effects added?

You want to type text and have a computer program translate that into audio? Do you think that's how voiceovers are done?

Voiceovers are recorded with the same methods as music, in a recording studio. The booming voiceover starts with the right voice. There's no programs that will give you a quality voiceover by generating it from text.

^^^^^ What he(or she) said.

I'm also pretty sure that radio stations get the consistency in vocal tone by using a midi controller that triggers the pre-recorded voices which could possibly lead you to think that they were using text to voice.

Yes I know they are done in a recording booth, but there are some stations in NY (I'm in Australia) that use a robotic voice and possibly software..hmm might just try with my own voice. Thanks though!

Actually I think he meant that the copy would be typed in and the talent would perform the VO reading it in time with the video he is narrarating...and yes Vegas or any other video editing software will do the job.
