So i've been doing some research on vocoders, and it seems like i cant find one that isnt implanted into a synthesizer. I want something that i can use live and in the studio. Kind of like a stompbox, but for my microphone. I'm looking to get a sound like Attack Attack!, Of Machines, Breathe Craolina... ect. Can anyone shed some light on the subject for me??? Oh and if you know of any decent ones could you maybe send me a link to where i can buy one?

a number of the vocal 'harmonizers' claim to contain vocoder features

an example would be the electro-harmonix Voice Box

suggestion would be to review the manuals to see if any specific box had appropriate parameter control for your purpose

Reason has a good vocoder.. you can get better results a long the same line with auto-tune though.. espeically live.. you can let your midi drive your vocal and play whatever melody on your midi controller..
