i am in a band that plays metal i need a patch for vocals like skid row dokken queensrcyhe fates warning megadeth. so you know what im talking about clean vocals with high screams. so im guessing reverb and delay..i also play prog metal which should be the same vocal effects. can someone please help me out with a good vocal setting i have the vocal 300. i just got it so if anyone can help ill appreciate it.
can anyone post some actual patch setting i stil cant figure out how to get a great sound with it. ive notice all my fav singer seem to have reverb and delay on the voice just how much?

no one can give you the perfect settings to make your vocals sound like the famous singers. if it was this way, then anyone could just throw up a plugin and make themselves sing like Elvis Presley or Frank Sinatra with the touch of a button. It's not possible. Those sounds you hear on your favorite CDs are a combination of talented musicians who have worked hard to get to that level of singing and experienced engineers who know exactly how to tweak the knobs after listening to the singer to make it even better. and throwing something like reverb and delay on a vocal is not going to get you an instant perfect vocal. and truth is, the best vocals are done without any processing. so practice.

The singers you mentioned don't really all fit into the same catagory. And the effects aren't resposible for the sound. There is also a lot of money invested into these albums, if you are standing there with a '58 a 4-track and a vocal 300, you won't make it.

I'm not familiar with the vocal 300 but you are probably looking for a vocal spreader (or widener) patch. After you put that on, then you can add delay to taste.
