Vocal Mic

I apologize if this question has been asked a zillion times. But i am new and just bought nuendo for PC with a Aardvark Q10 soundcard. All i have for a vocal mic is an SM58 right now, and I know I need to replace it. So what is an affordable mic that will give me the professional quality i am looking for... I know I will have to atleast spend $400 right?

its what to say what mics can give you pro sound because so much depends on the person doing the engineering and the delivery of the vocalist and the sound of the room and etc. etc...
