vocal effect question

hey folks was just wondering if anybody could recommend a vst for cubase that would acheive this filter? effect

the opening lines "it's the music that we choose" from this song :

i can imagine the effect being done in realtime but can it be done as a vst?

What I hear is that the first four times they sing "it's the music that we choose" it's somewhat compressed and has a funny eq on it, and the 5th time they sing it it's straight.

I don't hear much more than eq and maybe some compression although it's grainy too so maybe you'd want to use something to get a tube type distortion.

I'd try just eq and see where that gets you.

It's a variation on the telephone type effect. Reminds me a bit of John Lennon using the cheap mic into his guitar amp on "Yellow Submarine", that "full speed ahead" stuff.

Cool contrasts - going from narrow bandwidth to wide.
