It's Just My Opinion
Hey Friend - Okee dokee, please don't take offense here. But if you're gonna sing Lionel, you best have some serious vocal pipes. I love Lionel, and I love Easy, but I really don't think that is the style for you. I actually liked your tone better on the first song you posted. On this one, it did sound a bit strained and maybe even a bit whiney for my taste. Aside from that, your intonation was a bit better, but still had some problems.
I think I actually liked the a cappella song better. I could tell there were some pitch problems, even being a cappella, but I think the fast lyrics and style fit your voice better. I don't know the song, and have no idea if it's an original or not, but that song seemed to suit your voice better in my opinion.
I know you're new at singing and yes, you have a ways to go. But keep posting songs and trying new things. You're not going to get any better without doing more and more, right? I do believe there's potential for you, for sure. Keep working on your pitch, range and breath support, and I'm sure once you have some professional help with your teacher, you'll see improvements a little faster.
Good luck!
Jen
