Yup... I gouged it pretty good (around -16db) at just below 3k, very short Q, and voila! It sounded much better - just like you said. :D Thanks, Triple!
 
Yep, ocean out & wind, fluttering prayer banners & whirling prayer wheels in.
The bass - I understand BUT it sounds a bit 80's serious rock.
My tin ear did notice a note or two fall short or over reach &, quite seriously, if I could tell I'd be worried.
The snare moving off stage was a bit odd - it grabbed me attention.
 
I accidentally clicked on the first updated link before I noticed there was another and theres a big improvement (not that I thought there needed to be)

The beginnings less overpowering with the FX changed and the violin sits in the mix much better...the drums are clear and the low end seems tight, in fact everything seems to have its own space..

Nice even mix...sounds great J, good improvements imo :)
