Videologic Sirocco Pro monitors?

Hi, I wonder if anyone have tried these. They are satellites and sub and come at approx $800 I think.

They aren't spoken of much here because they aren't "monitors" in the true sense - they're top quality PC speakers, which COULD make for an okay-ish set of monitors. I read a test on the Internet (I will search for the page and post a link here) that answered the question regarding their use as studio monitors, and they concluded that there was a definite "W" shape to their sound, not near as flat as other monitor systems in the same league price-wise. $800 for an active 2+1 system seems like a steal, but as in most other cases, you get what you pay for. :)
 
I don't have any experience with them myself, but the Audax aerogel drivers have not had great acceptance in the speaker building community. From what I read they have troublesome lower midrange resonances. Audax aerogel's always seem to be "on sale", which is also a good indication of their lack of demand. Maybe this company can sell their speakers so inexpensively because they're buying all those surplus drivers?
