Hey, all

I have been recording music for a LONG time, but I've just recently jumped into the world of "video songs". In a nutshell, It's a what-you-see-is-what-you-hear approach to music videos and, for me, it's added a whole new dimension to my home recording enjoyment.

I've come to grips with the fact that I'm not much of a song writer and that I'll never get famous by recording cover tunes and posting them on YouTube, and I'm cool with that. I'm just looking for honest feedback from fellow musicians/home recording enthusiasts.

Feedback away!

p.s. If it's not okay to post cover tunes on here, let me know! Thanks!

I use Adobe Premiere Pro. I just insert my complete audio file and then match up the waveforms from the camcorder audio of each invidivual video track. It's not always spot-on, but usually within a frame or two.

To embed Youtube, just paste the last string of letters from the youtube url (zwMcneFfZA8) between the tags. :)

Sorry, between WHAT tags? When I use "embed" , I get the following mess:

<object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="https://www.youtube.com/v/QhuiuH75W2c?fs=1&hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="https://www.youtube.com/v/QhuiuH75W2c?fs=1&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>

You wrap the video code in YOUTUBE BBS tags. For example (minus the spacing)
[ youtube ] QhuiuH75W2c [ / youtube ]

I moved this thread to the MP3 clinic where it belongs. Always glad to see videos showing up here. I'll give this a spin when I get back to my main computer.

peace,

Like Steve said...

When you make a post or reply, there's a YouTube icon in the message toolbar. Put JUST the video id between the tags. You can copy the id from the embed code given by YouTube, but don't use their whole code.
