Video Recording Software

Hi,

I'm planning to video record myself playing the piano and singing to be publish on youtube. Any free quality video recording software you can recommend please?
 
If you are just going to use a webcam then you can record direct into Windows Movie Maker or iMovie. However, it would be best to use a real video camera--better quality, more flexibility, and you won't be tethered to your computer.
 
The free stuff is pretty iffy.

Do yourself a favor and try out the 30-day demo of Vegas on the Sony site.

You can get Vegas Movie Studio for $50 (sometimes less) and I've done everything from presentations to music video to 2-hour multi-camera plays. The HD package will even let you to HD video AND let you use your VST audio effects!
