Increidble musician, seem him live a bunch of times with bela, his solo's are pretty amazing.

Too bad the music he writes sucks so much, anyone hear his first solo album?Ugh!

I have all his stuff, it's amazing, although sometimes too "check how fast I am".
 
I agree Daav, I saw his solo band open for DMB last year and although he's a virtuoso on the bass, his songwriting is pretty weak. A couple of those songs were just atrocious. They opened with a song about how his name is Victor, and he plays the bass. Fascinating :-|

Bill "The Budda" played at an after NAMM show party in Nashville in 2003 with Victor, Reggie and Future Man , and Jeff Berlin and alot more. Id never heard of him before that. That dude was fuckin crazy. I think he was playing an 8 string bass. He beat the shit out of that guitar. It was cool.
 
He played his 9-string when I had him in the studio. He wrote a couple hits for Aretha Franklin and he does a bunch of other stuff. Remember those old "Did somebody say McDonalds" comercials? He was playing the walking bass line behind the voiceover. He also toured with Janet Jackson.
