I've had this prog for a while and have used it with no problem in conjunction with the Delta 1010. But I generally do MIDI stuff and import my tracks from a pre with a digital out, two at a time @ 24/96. Both VV3 and SF 6 have no problem recognizing and dealing with 24 bit files.
Today I set up a test with just six mics to see if it could multitrack as advertised at 24 bits using the analog ins on the Delta. Nope.
Actually- it won't even record ONE mic at 24 bits in mono.
That definitely sucks!
Certainly not a PC resource problem- my system barely blinks doing such minimal tasks.
I'm running the direct outs on my mixer to the analog inputs on the Delta. The signal sounds fine monitored from the mixer.
I also tried downloading the latest build of VV3 (version 3.0c build 138) and it didn't help. I tried changing the DMA buffer settings on the Delta. No help. The Delta timing is set to the Internal Xtal.
The tracks are recognizable but have a horrific motorboating sound.
No problem doing this with the version of Logic Audio that came with the Delta (but I HATE that Chinese Puzzle interface; I just happened to stumble upon how to record audio and can't actually duplicate the experiment- I need to feel confident about ALL of the variables before I try to record) and also no problem when I use VV3 at 16 bit resolution. If I just wanted 16 bits I would've bought a used Layla!!
