I started a project in Vegas 1.0 and then upgraded to 2.0 a few days ago. I noticed that I when panning my background parts to the left/right speakers, it still sounded as if I was in Mono, but I thought it was just my ears playing tricks on me. Originally, I recorded the background parts in Cakewalk 9.0 and exported them as L/R mono wave files which are now panned 70% L & R in Vegas. What's weird is after I trimmed everything, upgraded to Version 2.0, and then added some effects, all the parts for the chorus sound like they're panned correctly only near the end of the project. It's somewhat hard to explain. It's like all the background parts sound like they're in the middle of the stereo field throughout most of the song, then at one point in the song it's fine until the end. I tried comparing the wave files and checking the original audio in Cakewalk to see if that's how it originally sounded, and it's not. Also tried opening the tracks in Sound Forge to compare any differences in the waveforms, but no luck. I dunno, is anybody even following me? Is it possible that part of the .veg project file is corrupt? I'm using a DMAN 2044 to record. Any suggestions appreciated, I'm stumped.
