Vary Drum Hits?

Hey

So I use ultrabeat in Logic for my drum tracks.
I was wondering if there is a way to vary where the drums are hit, to give it a more realistic feel?
If there are other drum apps/vsti's that do so I'd be glad to know.

hmm, not sure if you can vary where the drum is hit, does ultrabeat play different samples each time that drum is played? Surely there'd be a slight variation in that?

I reckon you'd have more luck if you humanized the midi track to cause slight variation in volume and timing, I normally humanize tracks to about 8% in volume and 4% if I'm ever doing any programming. Or better yet, you could use a real drummer, speaking of which...

usually changing note velocity has a similar effect to hitting a drum hard/soft.

I always spend a bit of time of varying velocty to add a 'human' feel to a drum track.
